Kimmie Durham has served on numerous boards and civic organizations. Her service to the American Cancer Society, Women’s Auxiliary and Women’s Cancer Council began her Not-for-Profit career. She has also served for The First Tee of Brunswick County, the General Federation Women’s Club-SBI, the Brunswick Shades of Pink, Patient Advocacy & Community Education, Hospice of Madison County and Relay for Life Community Planning Board. She spent her early career in Nursing before spending 25 years as a Nurse Clinician for Fortune 500 companies such as Marion Laboratories, G.D. Searle & Co. and GlaxoSmithKline. Kimmie won numerous awards for performance, patient outcomes and community impact along the way. Her focus has always been true to education, community involvement and service. She believes that those that have the most need benefit from a compassionate community with programs that fill specific needs while providing services to those identified.

Rosa Aronson is the Director of Development at Community Movement Alliance (CMA) in Brunswick County, NC. Aronson retired from her position as Executive Director of the TESOL International Association (TESOL) in 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education from the University of Virginia. Aronson earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and became a Fellow of ASAE in recognition of her contributions to the profession.
Prior to her service at TESOL, Dr. Aronson had 24 years of experience in nonprofit association management with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

Nancy has been working in the field of dance/movement education for nearly 20 years. She first began her dance training here in Brunswick County at the young age of 3. Dance being her passion she went on to study it as a career at the esteemed Meredith College where she completed a B.A. in dance education along with K-12 certification in dance. Very soon after graduation she moved to the arts capital - NYC. After completing her MA degree at New York University’s prestigious Steinhardt School for Education, Culture & Human Development, she began working in both dance administration and education in New York City's public and private institutions as a teaching artist instructing dance and yoga residencies. She is also a graduate of 92nd St Y's professional development program, DEL - Dance Education Laboratory. Nancy has been on the faculty and directed programs at Harkness Dance Center’s 92Y, Peridance Capezio Center and Brooklyn Ballet. She instructed classes at UNIS, the United Nations International School as well as Village Community School in Manhattan. In 2011 she gained 225hour Hatha Yoga Certification plus an additional 35 hour Vinyasa Flow training. She most recently recieved her CPR certification, Pilates Mat as well as Rainbow Kids International Yoga Certification for children and families. She will be pursuing her 500 hour RYT abroad in the coming year.
Elaine Simpson graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in education. Her career included teaching English, drama, and special education. After twenty-five years teaching, she advanced to high school vice principal and then high school principal. Since retiring, she resides with her husband in Brunswick County where she is thrilled to pursue her passion for the arts. She volunteers her talents at Brunswick Little Theatre where she landed an acting role in a recent production. In addition, she works backstage assisting with costumes and quick changes. Her dance classes at Movement Works take priority when she is not traveling. Her favorite destination is New York City where she attends numerous shows and frequents museums and galleries.
Linda is an owner/partner in RLS Focused Solutions (formerly Patriot Business Coaching) since 2003, a firm which is one of 600 affiliates of Resource Associates Corporation. Linda has successfully completed programs in individual and organizational development and is part of a continuing education program in those areas. Linda has worked with for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout the Carolinas in planning and business development.
Linda has 15 years’ experience in the travel and tourism industry, servicing individuals, groups of varying sizes, and corporate clientele. She also has 10 years’ experience with Ted Bates & Company, an international advertising and marketing firm. Linda is a graduate of the Leadership Wilmington program and has served as a session chairperson. She is on the Board of Directors of the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the Board of Directors of DREAMS, a youth development program which offers free classes in the visual and creative arts to the underserved youth population in southeastern North Carolina.
